The Frondes (dec 27, 1648 – oct 26, 1650)
Description:
The first Fronde was led by "nobles of the robe" was occurred because people disliked Cardinal Mazarin. Nobles of the robe and members of Parliament who opposed the new taxes teamed up with laymen in Paris. IT ended in compromise.
The Second Fronde was led by "nobles of the sword" and their intentions were to overthrow Mazarin. However, the nobles started fighting each other instead of Mazarin. It ended with the decision that France's stability lay with the crown.
