Protest At Kent State University (may 1, 1970 – may 4, 1970)

Description:

On May 1 1970 At Kent state university In Ohio, Students surrounded the campus ROTC building to protest the bombing in Cambodia. On may 3 1970 The gov. of Ohio called the national guard to help combat the protest. On may 4 1970 More than 600 students are holding a peaceful protest, and they are told by the campus police that they must leave because it's an unlawful assembly. The national guard takes matters into their own hands and shoots tear gas into the crowds to make the crowd disperse. Then they said they felt threatened and started to open fire. 4 were killed.
