Description:

It is important to have knowledge of the history of educational technology, so you can better understand expectations of technology integration, and make informed decisions about using technology in your own practice. When discussing technology in education we could refer to the simple pen, or even chalk. However, this chapter will begin the discussion with film, radio and television. While these are pre-digital technologies they are important precursors to how recent technological innovations are viewed socially and in education (Howard & Mozejko, 2015).
