Byrd Amendment (jan 10, 1972 – mar 11, 1977)
Description:
The law had a provision to deny the ban of strategic metal imports from a non-communist country without making the same ban on a communist country. The intention of the bill was to end import ban on Rhodesian chromite ore to aid the Ian Smith minority regime.
