Kent State Protest (may 1, 1970 – may 4, 1970)
Description:
May 1, 1970 through May 4, 1970 there was a peaceful protest outside of the ROTC building on Kent State's campus containing more than 600 students. This protest went wrong when the national guard shot off tear gas into the crowd to make the crowd disperse and when the students began to run the national gaurd claimed to feel threatened so they opened fire killing 4 students.
