Description:
1. Books were rare before the printing press2. Printing presses use ink to transfer text and images to paper.
3. Obviously owed much to the medieval paper press, in turn, modeled after the ancient wine-and-olive press of the Mediterranean area
4. Rate of 250 sheets per hour
5. The wooden press was the most popular for 300 years.
