Description:
Benito Mussolini was the Prime Minister of Italy from 1922 until 1943.
CAUSES
Mussolini claimed that he could restore peace and order to Italy as it was becoming chaotic. He was then given power in 1922 and authority as Prime minister of Italy.
By 1925 he used his own powers and made himself the dictator of Italy and the cause of this was him becoming prime minister since he claimed that only he could restore order and peace. He then remained the dictator of Italy until 1945.
EFFECTS
He had suggested war with Ethiopia in 1935 and eventually conquered Ethiopia within eight months.
In 1919, before he became a dictator, he created a fascist movement in order to gain power, and effected the Italians in their point of view on society.
