After originating in a seafood market in Wuhan, China, this new coronavirus infects over 10 percent of the world's population, and kills over a 100 000 people. On 7:59 AM EST time, the WHO declares the pandemic to be over as cases sharply decline. Sporadic outbreaks continue until August 18th.
