Moses (jan 1, 1393 BC – jan 1, 1273 BC)

Description:

THE BIRTH OF MOSES - 1393 BC
Moses is the son of Amram and Yochebed. He was born in the year 1939 BC in Egypt (The exact date is not specified). The Pharaoh of Egypt commanded newborn male Hebrew children to be cast into the Nile to drown. In order to save Moses, his mother hid him in the grass of the Nile. Eventually, the Pharaoh's daughter found Moses and raised him.
Moses grew up in the Pharaoh's court but eventually figured out his true origins and even killed an Egyptian who was abusing a Hebrew slave. His actions made him fled.

THE BURNING BUSH - 1314 BC
Moses discovered a bush that was on fire but was not being consumed by the flames on Mount Horeb/Sinai. The bush wanted to speak to him and stated he is the God of the Patriarchs – Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and that he is Yahweh. In addition, he also ordered Moses to tell the elders that Yahweh would bring them to Canaan.

THE SPLITTING OF THE SEA - 1313 BC
The Egyptians were after the Hebrews, so Moses asked God for assistance through prayer. As instructed by God, Moses used his staff to split the sea in order for the Hebrews to cross and get away safely.

MOUNT SINAI - 1313 BC
Moses spoke with God and presented the elders with the Torah (The five books of Moses). In addition to the Torah, the 10 Commandments were also proclaimed by God on the mountain.
