Battle of the Bulge (dec 16, 1944 – jan 16, 1945)
Description:
The Battle lasted from December 16 1944 to January 16 1945. This was the largest battle fought on the western front in Europe and was initiated by the Germans who hoped to seperate British and American troops in France and the low countries and recapture the port of Antwerp. It resulted in an Allied victory, though there were losses on both sides.
