Doolittle Raid (aug 18, 1942 – aug 18, 1942)
Description:
After the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the United States planned an aerial attack on Tokyo, Japan. Very little damage was done, but the raid boosted spirits. The effort boosted American morale and national pride.
