In the spring of 1936, 15,000 members of the CEDA youth wing defected to the Spanish fascist party, the Falange. In April 1936, the 50,000-strong Socialist Youth wing defected to the Spanish Communist Party. This further increases the radicalization of Spain, making civil war even more likely.Added to timeline:
