Reign of Abbas I (oct 1, 1588 – jan 19, 1629)
Description:
Abbas I effectively renovated the Safavid Dynasty, revitalizing the empire during his reign. He made several changes, such as relocation of the capital, encouraged trade, incorporated slaves and gunpowder into his army, and more. He managed to annex northwestern present-day Iran, Mesopotamia, and the Caucasus region into his empire.
