Reign of Aurangzeb (jul 31, 1658 – mar 3, 1707)
Description:
Under the ruler Aurangzeb, the Mughal Empire reached its maximum extent through his military leadership. He used his military skill to aggressively push Mughal authority well into southern India. However, many internal issues plagued the empire, such as rebellions and religious tensions caused by his violation of the policy of religious tolerance.
