On the way to Ethiopia Salva makes a new friend in his group named Marial. But while passing through lion country Marial was killed in his sleep. Farther on in the trip Salva realizes his uncle is in the group. But while passing through the desert Salva's group is stripped of their supplies and their leader Salva's Uncle is shot and killed.
