Description:

German Appeasement occurred on March 15, 1939, and Germany invaded Poland on September 1st 1939. It was the act of Britain and France negotiating with Germany to prevent a war.

CAUSES & EFFECTS-
CAUSE 1- The British and French wanted peace.
CAUSE 2- Many of Hitlers demands appeared reasonable at the time.

EFFECT 1- WWII- The appeasement built up Hitlers Germany. As he built his army and invaded territories (despite the treaty). He was allowed by France and Britain in the hopes that he would leave them alone.
EFFECT 2- The invasion on Poland-again he was allowed to get away with it.
