Description:
A gold rush which gave Australia a massive economic boost when many came to seek their fortune. It bolstered around 77,000 to 90,000 people looking for riches and a good life.
It brought many people from Asian heritage to Australia who wanted to work and make a living to feed their families, it also revealed massive fields full of gold and various other metals, creating a stable mining business to this day.
It is said that the amount of gold dug up totals to around 9 billion dollars.
