Californian gold rush (jan 24, 1848 – jan 24, 1855)
Description:
This is one of. if not, the most famous gold rush of all. It all started at a place called Sutter’s Mill. The word spread around quickly all over america and the world.
It was originally a man called John Sutter and his carpenter, James W. Marshall who found small gold flakes in their property. This in turn, opened a massive window. By the end of it, it estimated that over 300,000 people ended up travelling to the gold mines.
