---Hine was hired by the National Child Labor Committee to explore child-labor conditions in the United States.
---Lewis Hine was a photographer who photographed children when there were no labor laws against it so he could prove how harsh the conditions were.
---His photos helped gain child labor laws because they showed how cruel and brutal the conditions were that they worked in.
---Since these children were so little they were often forced to go inside machines to fix things which often resulted in many injuries. Lewis Hine was one to photograph these conditions.
---In 1916 “Tax on Employment of Child Labor” placed a 10% tax on all businesses that employed children under 14
