Beer Hall Putsch (nov 8, 1923 – nov 9, 1923)

Description:

The Beer Hall Putsch was an attempted takeover of Bavaria’s government by Adolf Hitler and his followers. They wanted to kidnap three political figures of the Bavarian government. It failed and Hitler was sentenced to five years in prison, only one of which was actually spent behind bars. After being freed, he built up his followers (the Nazi’s) and worked to manipulate the government system instead of using force.
