League of Nations (jan 10, 1920 – apr 20, 1946)
Description:
The League of Nations was an international association founded after the Paris Peace Conference, 1919. The Group's goals included disarmament, preventing war through collective security, settling disputes between countries through negotiation diplomacy and improving global welfare. Even though the League of Nations was much of the work of President Woodrow Wilson America never joined the League of Nations. This was for several reasons, firstly America had suffered civilian casualties in the war, and many people in the USA wanted to keep America out of European dealings. And some relatively isolated sovereign states in Asia also did not join, including Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Mongolia, Nepal, and Bhutan.
