German Appeasement (sep 3, 1939 – sep 3, 1939)

Description:

The German Appeasement was basically the way Britain hoped to get out of being involved in a war with Germany. It basically allowed Germany to go into other territories untouched by Britain's army. Although many see this as a sign of weakness from Britain, at the time it was seen as a very good move by Britain. But really at the end of the day all it was doing was preparing Germany for a inevitable war and was giving them more power. Although Hitler later violated the agreement and they eventually ended up attacking Poland, so Britain was back at war against Germany anyway but against a much stronger German army.
