Nanjing Massacre (dec 13, 1937 – jan 1, 1938)

Description:

The Nanjing Massacre was a very horrific event which included both Japan and China. The event was a mass murder and rape of the residents of Nanjing which was then the capital of China. The horrific event was committed by imperial Japanese troops. The result was 20,000 to 50,000 people dying as well as thousands of them being raped. One of the major causes was the lack of supplies china was provided as part of the two countries trade agreement. In 2013 former Japanese president Hatoyama Yukio made a formal apology to China for their crimes in the Nanjing Massacre.
