Treaty of Versailles (jun 28, 1919 – jun 28, 1919)

Description:

Description: The treaty of Versailles was the end of world war 1. In the treaty of Versailles Germany was forced to surrender and accept the responsibly of WW1 and the damages caused towards France, Great Britain and USA. They were forced to pay the three allies a huge amount of money.
Cause 1: One of the causes were that Germany had primarily lost the war and were forced to attended this ‘meeting’ and surrender to the allies.
Cause 2: Another cause for this event is there needed to be a negation between France, Britain, USA and Germany for who would be paying reparations. Even though Germany basically had no say in what would happen which was fair.
Effect 1: one of the effects of the treaty of Versailles is because Germany had to pay a huge amount of money to the three allies it left Germany without having much recourses and money to get any of these so it left Germanys people starving.
Effect 2: Another effect is that because Germany got blamed and had to pay a huge amount of money it left Germanys people angry and they had a big resentment to the treaty which then led and helped Hitler to get power by his persuasion and then eventually in the long run led to world war 2.
