Description:
The Nanjing Massacre was when Chinese soldiers and civilian were raped or brutally murdered
Japan with the victory of Shanghai in the Sino- Japanese war wanted to invade the capital of China then called Nanking. another reason the event occurred was that nationalist leader at the time Chiang Kai-Shek removed nearly all of the troops from Naking leaving it open for the event to occur. The effects of this massacre are still present today with Sino-Japanese relations still not the greatest.
