The Great Depression (oct 24, 1929 – apr 4, 1939)

Description:

The Great Depression was caused by the stock market crash of October 24 1929. Millions of investors were wiped out during the first week, and eventually, over 15 million Americans had lost their jobs. Many companies were forced to let go of workers and if you did manage to stay your wages dropped considerably. The great depression ended with World War ll because many jobs were needed for defense manufacturing, so worker quickly got jobs in that field. - (Folsom, 2020)
