Description:

The Battles of Saratoga were multiple battles throughout September and October of 1777. These battles led to the surrender of British General John Burgoyne. This resulted in America’s victory, which was a turning point of the Revolutionary War. The main leader for the British was General John Burgoyne. His nickname was "Gentleman Johnny". The Americans were led by a Major General called Horatio Gates, Generals Benedict Arnold, and Benjamin Lincoln. Other important commanders included Colonel Daniel Morgan and General Enoch Poor. The Americans won the battle.
