This war was fought between the Nationalists and the Communists. Mao ZeDong led the Communist side while Chiang-KaiShek led the Nationalist side. In the end, Mao Ze Dong and his Communists drove the Nationalists out to Taiwan and established the PRC.Added to timeline:
