U.S. Army begins excluding homosexuals from service (jan 1, 1943 – dec 31, 1943)
Description:
The U.S. first began to refer to homosexuals and banned them from service. Laws against sodomy had already existed in the military before this, but they had not been referred to as homosexuals before. This exclusion set the stage for later actions by the government.
