China Forces Stalemate (nov 25, 1950 – apr 25, 1953)
Description:
President Truman had to make a decision if he wanted to push to fight into China or not. MacArthur persuaded Truman that it would be positive to push into North Korea, but they ended up being met with 3,000 troops and had to move back. Truman declared that he wanted a limited war which would only be fought to win specific goals. This forced a stalemate where only small wars were fought with limited results.
