荊州江陵縣人，郡望南陽，唐朝詩人，宰相岑文本曾孫，邊塞詩代表人物，與高適並稱「高岑」。曾任嘉州（今四川省樂山市）刺史，後人因稱「岑嘉州」

盛唐邊塞詩人有功名者，達者高適，邁者岑參
