Description:

- Blaise Pascal was a French Mathematician who pioneered the field of calculating machines. Pascal invented the mechanical calculator, an important milestone in Mathematics, engineering, and computing.

- Furthermore, Pascal's calculator was the first fully functional mechanical calculator. As an ancestor to the modern computer, it goes without saying that a person responsible for such a person deserves to be on this timeline.
