Description:
Political - Tang Taizong was the most proficient ruler of the Tang dynasty. Under his rule, the dynasty flourished, and it was at its peak during his rule. As a Confucian ruler who was mindful of his subjects' needs, he built an amazing capital at Chang'an, and taxes imposed on peasants were only 1/40 of the annual harvest. Well-maintained communication and transportation networks, distribution of land, and a well-organized bureaucracy aided in the success of the dynasty.
