Description:
- due to religious sectarianism- started after the Holy Roman Emperor attempted to force his Bohemian subjects to return back to the Roman Catholic church
- The Spanish, French, Dutch, German, Swedish, Danish, Polish, Bohemian, and Russians were "part of the conflict
- Was the most destructive war before the 20th century with the main issue being religious differences, but making other issues more difficult to resolve
