John Q. Adams served one term as president of the United States. He had interest in the field of economic development, federal expenditures, and scientific research. John Q. Adams is the son of the Federalist John Adams. Early on in his life, John Q. Adams adopted the world views of his father, but later switched from the Federalist Party to the Democratic-Republican Party.
