Glasnost and Perestroika (Mikhail Gorbachev) (mar 10, 1985 – dec 15, 1991)
Description:
Gorbachev's policies of Glasnost and Perestroika may have not led to the collapse of the Soviet Union, but it did do much to reform it's political and economic structure for the better, by recognizing human rights, releasing political prisoners, and promoting capitalist-like ideas. His policies also did much on the Soviet side to produce a calm in the Cold War.
