Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki (aug 6, 1945 – aug 9, 1945)
Description:
Two bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the U.S. which killed between 129-226 thousand people, most of whom were civilians. People who weren’t killed were affected by the immense radiation caused by the bombs. Shortly after the bombs were dropped, Japan surrendered which effectively ended WWII on September 2nd, 1945.
