-SARS = Severe Acute Respiratory Syndromes-Outbreak started in Guangzhou in 2002
-Economy stopped growing in 2003
-During SARS outbreak there were no migrants
-People left Hong Kong to escape the virus
-Shops went bankrupt because people wouldn't come to work
-Nearly no one would walk out in the streets to buy things
-299 people died in Hong Kong out of 1,755 cases
