Description:

Carl Rogers was an American psychologist and among the founders of the humanistic approach to psychology. Rogers is best-known for his nondirective approach to treatment called client-centered therapy.

Rogers agreed with Abraham Maslow, but stressed the importance of acceptance, genuineness, and empathy in fostering human growth through his Self Theory (Also called Client Centered Theory). Acceptance, Genuineness, and Empathy are the 3 Core Conditions for Therapeutic Change according to Rogers.
