Jean Nicolet is the first European to land in Wisconsin. (jan 1, 1634 – jan 1, 1635)

Description:

Jean Nicolet, an interpreter, was the first European to land in Wisconsin. He landed at Red Banks near, what we call today, Green Bay. He was searching for the passage to the Pacific Ocean. Of course he couldn't find because there is no passage, but he did find furs. That is how the Europeans started to look at furs.
