Description:

In this era, the new ideal body type was to have a busty, voluptuous hourglass look. Due to this new body type, advertisements encouraged "skinny" women to take weight-gain supplements to help attain the hourglass body type. Now women who were once praised for their thin look are now encouraged to gain weight.
