Polish-Swedish Wars (jan 30, 1600 – jan 17, 1629)
Description:
Beginning in 1600, Sigismund III Vasa of Poland (once of Sweden but was removed because he was Catholic) attempted to regain the Swedish throne from Charles IX. This resulted in a long series of conflicts, eventually ended in 1629 by Gustavus Adolphus. The war rewarded Sweden with additional land, money, and troops, which was used as the foundation for the Swedish Intervention into the Thirty Years' War.
