Writers wrote about nature and didnt care that much about science. The nature was seen as the source of knowledge and information. Likwise, they shifted their focus to the emotional and the individual. Rationalism wasnt important

Many writers wrote in the style of escapism. This meant that they "looked inside" themselves to escape the annoying real world for it was overwhelmning. Akin, by writing about the nature and unfamiliar places, writers created the genre of Exotism. Popular genres were:
