war that was fought by the republic a socialist government and the fascist rebels at the end the fascist took all mainland and the 2 colonies in Africa but, the republic lost the mainland and thus moved to the Balearic islands with Mexican naval protection and had northern Morocco as sole African colony in which they were seen as a protectorate of Mexico.Added to timeline:
