Amenhotep the IV was the 4th pharaoh to have the name Amenhotep. He was the first Egyptian monotheist who worshiped only one god named Aten. He spent his life in devotion to the one god but after he died the Egyptians ruined the temple to Aten and returned to polytheism.Added to timeline:
