After being under Babylon's rule the Assyrians finally rebelled and won back their freedom from Babylon. Ashurbanipal reigned as a mighty king. Under his rule he came up with the idea to collect a house of books recording the stories of their people. It was called The Library of Nineveh.Added to timeline:
