Temujin (Chinggis) (jan 1, 1162 – jan 1, 1227)
Description:
Borgigid Clan. Apparentyl had a tough childhood with his father being poisoned by a rival Tatar clan.
He had an uncanny ability to attract more powerful allies than himself.
Temujin's blood brother Jammgha(Mongol) and ally Toghril Khan(Kereyid) were two of those.
They helped him rescue his wife Borte after she was kidnapped by Merkids in 1184.
Temujin was ruthless and decimated the Tatars in 1202 as revenge for his father's murder.
He killed everyone and enslaved the women and children.
He also had a great ability to identify talent and could identify his own weaknesses. Very important for his success.
Both Jamugha and Toghri Khan betrayed Temujin. He defeated Kereyid tribe in 1203 and later defeated Jamugha.
Jebe "The Arrow" was a captive who had come close to killing Temujin. Temujin instead of murdering him turned him into a lifelong and trusted general.
