Labor: payments and salary (jan 1, 1880 – jan 1, 1972)

Description:

The wages were low and were usually 12 hours a day for six days a week. If their daily quota wasn't met it would be deducted from their paycheck. Unions started to organize for shorter hours and better pay, eventually people started to get paid more and could live more comfortably.
