Printing
Press (jan 1, 1800 – jan 1, 1900)
Description:
Description:
A printing press is a device for applying pressure to an inked surface resting upon a print medium (such as paper or cloth), thereby transferring the ink. Typically used for texts, the invention and spread of the printing press was one of the most influential events in the second millennium.
Exposure:
Some of the group members have visited museums where the equipment for a printing press is showcased. Although the real ones were unusable, there were sample machines that were built to function the same way. Through those machines, the members were able to experience a real printing press process. This is also widely seen in old movies and films which the other members have watched.
