Montgomery bus boycott (dec 5, 1955 – dec 20, 1956)
Description:
It was a big protest against the bus system of Montgomery, Alabama. It started due to the massive segregation in the buses. Black people had to sit at the back of the bus and give up their seats to white people. Also, this protest brought Martin Luther King Jr. fame as one of the most important leaders of the American civil rights movement.
